Festival 2016

The second Berkshire Music and Arts Festival, which took place in January 2016 was a fantastic event which received 500 entries from children and adults taking part in music, drama and creative writing.

Without a doubt we were delighted to play host to so many talented souls who came from Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset and London.  With so much interest we had to branch out to other local venues, besides our festival home of Ufton Court.

We were lucky enough to have the piano section sponsored by Ben Wheeler Pianos and Kawai UK which gave our young ( and not so young!) pianists the opportunity to perform on a full size Kawai concert grand!  If you take a look at our gallery of pictures you will see that some of our young performers feet didn’t manage to touch the ground!

It was very encouraging to know that we attracted performers of all levels, and through our continued affiliation with the Federation of Festivals who provided us with some very accomplished adjudicators who gave invaluable feedback throughout the very busy day.

As the festival continues to grow from strength to strength we are very much looking forward to Festival 2017 and to meet even more talented musicians, actors and writers who enjoy sharing their love of performing with us!

If you are interested in learning more about any aspect of our festival then please do contact me at michelle@berksmusicandarts.org.uk.

So now is the time to put January 28th and January 29th in your diary to come and celebrate the ‘arts’ with us.

Do come and join us!
