Festival 2014

The first Berkshire Music and Arts Festival, which took place November 2nd 2014, proved to be a resounding success!

The festival attracted entries from musicians, singers, actors and creative writers from Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire and London and all of our performers provided a variety of entertainment throughout the day.

We were lucky to have had such a stunning venue, Ufton Court, and the piano section was provided a beautiful baby grand Kawai piano by Ben Wheeler Pianos which all pianists and our adjudicator, Malcolm Green (GRSM, LRAM), agreed was a fantastic instrument.

Our young actors had a great audience to support them, with one of our competitors being awarded lessons with LAMDA, courtesy of Bradfield College.

Popular children’s author, Peter J Murray, gave a great presentation to our Creative Writers and he also, generously, gave signed copies of his books to all of our creative writing entries.

All in all the festival was an amazing day full of creativity, musicality and inspirational performances! Please take look at our photo gallery.

Looking forward to the next festival being held on January 31st 2016 at Ufton Court (syllabus launching May 2015).

Hope you can join us!
